Clarissa Pienaar (LLB, LLM)

Clarissa Pienaar obtained her LL.B. and LL.M. Labour Law degrees at the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (PU for CHE) in 2007 and 2008. In 2004, she was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society as she qualified under the top 15% of academic achievers of the University and again qualified in 2005 and 2006. She graduated in March 2007 obtaining the LLB degree and subsequently successfully completed a university accredited advanced course in Labour Dispute Resolution presented by the Faculty of Law, North-West University. She enrolled for the post graduate degree in Labour Law which was awarded to her in May 2008.

She began her articles at Moolman & Matthee Inc. in December 2007 and, as a candidate attorney, focused on litigation and debt recovery. In April 2010 Clarissa was admitted as an attorney of the High Court and served in the firm as a professional assistant until 2012. In May 2012 Clarissa became a director and the name of the firm was changed from Moolman & Matthee Inc. to Moolman & Pienaar Inc.

Clarissa has, apart from specialising in Insurance Law, a vast interest in Family Law and has done ground-breaking work in the resolution of family disputes by means of mediation. She has teamed up with other experts to ensure that the interests of children are taken care of in divorce matters, and to cater for appropriate parenting plans that govern the relationship between divorced parents insofar as their parental responsibilities are concerned.
